What makes this diet different from all the other diets I have endured? I think it is the brilliance of the ‘Subconscious Accumulation Process’ to form new positive habits in order to fight the old established ones. I didn’t have to eliminate everything in one go. The emphasis is not on ‘willpower’; the focus is rather on the gradual development of good habits. It is so clever to quietly cultivate positive habits and to help them grow until they are big enough and strong enough to ‘fizzle out’ the former monster ‘masters’. A great big thanks for writing this book. I'm 30 years old, and while I was very slim most of my life, I started gaining weight in my early-mid 20s, primarily because I replaced a very active lifestyle with a sedentary lifestyle… For years I gained weight and when I started this program, I weighed 192 lbs. I looked into many diets over the years (Atkins, South Beach, etc.) to try and get in shape, but never started any of them because they just seemed too difficult and I didn't feel motivated. I am on medication which encourages weight gain. Fearing that it was impossible for me to lose weight, I felt defeated before I began. After reading about building positive habits through 'Accumulation of Traces', I realized that this system is not an all-or-nothing affair. You name the diet, I’ve probably tried it! Protein diets, food combining diets, appetite suppressants, and diet-shakes. I’ve even had injections and gone on some really radical programs. Each diet had its positive aspects, but ultimately I felt bored and deprived by their monotonous repetitiveness. On some diets, I became a nervous wreck! I just could not keep going after a while.

The best part for me is that I don’t dread the Shabbat meal. I follow the ‘The Life Transforming Diet’ plan: I think it through beforehand. “I eat my slice of challa – SLOWLY - and enjoy it; I have a small piece of fish, the salads, vegetables and the main course. Diabetes and High Blood Pressure - Israel
I had high blood pressure and went on the Life Transforming Diet. Since I have been on this program, I am losing weight at a rate of 1.5 pounds a week. I went to my doctor, and the doctor took my blood pressure a few times because he couldn't believe that I no longer have high blood pressure.
So my father went on the diet. My father has diabetes, but since he's been on the diet his blood sugar levels have been really good.

I lost 13 pounds very quickly – without waiting to implement the changes gradually the way the book suggests. I was ecstatic.
But then I started to put the pounds back on because my new habits were not firmly established. I know that I always like a good shortcut - but ‘shortcuts’ often seem to take me the long way round in the end! Anyway, now I feel like I just want to start the LT Diet all over again – right from the beginning - to get it PERFECT this time. I have come to really appreciate this LTD. It's so well thought out - and I want to be one of those that do it EXACTLY 'by the book!'

I don't feel that I am suffering on this diet. This system has made me aware of what goes into my mouth and whether I actually want to have it there. I have followed the guidelines and have developed the power to decide what I eat. I have become more aware of when and why I eat the "wrong" things. One of the brilliant parts is that it is realistic. It does not expect me to be 100% perfect. If I slip up sometimes, then I understand that it doesn’t mean I'm a total failure. I just take it as an experience that I don’t want to repeat. I am so grateful I was given the chance to implement this life transforming lifestyle!
