admin replied to the topic Re: healthy recipes in the forum.Hi Mimi
We are working on recipes and we post some when we see an interesting recipe.
The truth is that you can apply any recipe to our principles
Just be aware which type of meal, HWC, ONE CF or MIXED MEAL
Obviously any recipe that adds a lot of sugar or fats is unhealthy
Often calories per serving is a good indication whether the recipe has unhealthy ingredients

Replied to the GREEK SALAD WITH FETA CHEESEUsually, I 'turn off' when 'recipes' are given to me/ especially when it deals with a 'diet'. I don't have the patience nor the time...and just 'reading' a recipe makes me go into the starve mode ...with my racing to grab lots of 'stuff' to fill my 'hunger' that I 'develop just 'reading' a 'recipe'. THIS TIME, this recipe was well received by me. Darn...I had really done so good with the 5 week diet...but then came PASSOVER...MATZAH...AND GOING TO A HOTEL FOR A WEEK...bang...10 pounds back on my body...which has depressed me greatly...but this morning...because I already have had the experience with this great diet...i have 'returned'...and 'this' recipe looks like a quick one...and a fulfilling one...thank you very much. I will keep you posted as soon as I 'lose' these 10 "PASSOVER" pounds!

Replied to the Primary PrinciplesI think Rambam is teaching us this wonderful insight: If we do not pay attention to both quantity of food and exercise, eating unhealthy foods will eventually lead to illness. We see this from Rambam’s choice of words. He simply could have said that undereating bad foods will not harm our health. Instead, he says that if we watch quantity of food and exercise, we will be healthy and energetic even if we eat bad foods. It is specifically the synergy that is created by keeping both primary principles. Now, this certainly doesn’t mean that food quality is unimportant. After all, Rambam states explicitly that it is important. However, we are being told that if we eat the right amount of food and we exercise, then we do not have to be as concerned with the quality of food.
